Dear Mr. Van Meter,
Thank you for the work the FCS does to serve farmers. As a small-scale, organic farmer producing for local direct markets, I support your efforts to diversify the FCS loan portfolio and ask that in your marketing plans you include an investment goal for local and regional food producers of not less that 10% of each institution's capital within 5 years.
