FCS Diversity and Inclusion - PROPOSED RULE - MARCH 2011 Dear Mr. Van Meter,
I am admittedly a novice when it comes to the data, history, and concepts surrounding our nation's farm system and food production apparatus.
However, my interest as well as those of many young families in my community is in making a reasonable and responsible shift from mass-produced food provided by well-funded corporate comglomerates to locally-grown, natural food provided by small and regional farms.
These small and regional providers should have strong access to funding and credit which would allow them to continue to produce healthy food using sustainable practices.
Please support this bill.
