Thank you for the opportunity to voice my opinion on ways the FCS can better serve local, regional food producers.
Determine and investment goal of at least 10%. Please create a plan for outreach to our local/regional and ORGANIC food producers. Please make all progress reports public. Please create and implement a training plan for FCS personnel
In addition to good, clean healthy food, we need to bolster our local economies. We need to stop wasting fossil fuel transporting food many miles, AND we need to stop importing food from other countries.
Improving the local/regional food system has economic, environmental and social benefits.
