Rural Community Investments - Proposed Rule - Comments received after 8/15/08
August 21, 2008
I learned yesterday at our AgGeorgia Farm Credit board meeting that it may be possible for our small towns to obtain funds to rebuild our old, antique water and sewage systems in our small towns.
I live in Warrenton, GA., and the old waste sewage system was installed over 75 years ago; it needs a lot of work. It would be good if funds were available at a very low rate of interest for our small towns to obtain in the replacing these old systems that have worn out.
We would appreciate if Farm Credit Administration would play a vital roll in helping rural America obtain funds for the replacing and rebuilding of certain infrastructures.
Thank you, Sincerely, Dan N. Crumpton, tree farmer, and director for AgGeorgia Farm Credit.
