i am a farmstead cheese maker....i grow 60 acres of irrigated pasture, graze 20 jersey cows, milk once per day, and make cheese seasonally......april thru november....
obviously, i want capital available for this type operation....
i think it is important to keep this type of operation going, to make it easier for beginning small scale farmers to get the information they need to set up their own farms.....
there is nothing like "seeing" it for oneself.....and doing it.....you won't find this information in the big company controlled land grant colleges anymore......there, you learn monsanto's method of farming....
when oil hits 200 dollars a barrel, there will start to be a rethinking.......
