We were happy to tour Lee Strom and son on Angelic Organics this past week with the Fresh Taste Committee addressing this very issue in our region.
Angelic Organics Learning Center is currently organizing efforts around this very issue with local financial institutions including CDFI's and social investors. Sufficed to say we would like to connect more strongly with our farm credit services within the region and are outreaching to both these institutions, partners, and our farmers interested in pursuing loans.
Over half of our farmers have shared an interest and need for small scale lending programs. Please feel free to contact us more to learn about their needs as we have conducted an assessment and feasibility around this topic.
We are in support of the National Sustainable Agriculture Coalition's position on this issue.
