FCS Diversity and Inclusion - PROPOSED RULE - MARCH 2011
Dear Mr. Van Meter, I am a very small, beginning farm here in NH. I would love to see a minimum requirement for banks to invest in small local farms and ranches. So much of the farm money goes to the huge farm conglomerates, and the little guy tends to get squeezed out. Please define 'local' and 'regional' to include the little farms that fuel our farmer's markets here in New England and keep us eating "local".
I think it is also very important that all progress reports be made public. thanks for listening.
