As Director for Heifer International's USA Program, I have heard time and time again that access to credit and capital are one of the biggest challenges that small and medium producers face. You have an incredible opportunity to change that. I would very much like to ask you to act on any opportunity that helps to support all of our farmers and elevates the visibility and provides access to credit to those farmers who are the fastest growning segment of the farm community.
Please enact rules that will favor them and place smallholders on your board. More localized and region food systems are already happening and I would like to talk to you about how to team up to work together.
