Dear Mr. Van Meter,
Thank you for giving the public the opportunity to comment on this new regulation your agency is considering. As a part of this new rule, I hope you will direct Farm Credit System lending associations to be more responsive to the credit needs of small and mid-sized farmers and ranchers producing for local and regional food markets. This will help make our food production system more sustainable and will help create many good jobs that strengthen communities.
