FCS Diversity and Inclusion - PROPOSED RULE - MARCH 2011 Dear Mr. Van Meter,
I want you to know that I support the FCS loan process to include small and mid sized farms in its reach. Our CSA serves 65 families in Northern Oakland County but our budget is $20,000. which we need to pay workers, tractor fees, seeds, taxes, certification and dues. We are driving to the nest door farm to get our water tank filled, but the cost of us drilling for water is about $10,000. We can't portion off half our budget to one big ticket item. Our staff earns min. wages. But people want to learn about how food is grown, and see it happening.
They care about their kids and the future of food.
