Lending and Leasing Limits - Proposed Rule - Summer 2010

This message is being sent in response to the following e-mail.  I apologize for any inconvenience.  Please let me know if you need anything else.  Thank you.

 Good Afternoon:

On Friday, you sent a “secure” e-mail (attached below) to FCA’s reg-comm@fca.gov address.

Opening this e-mail would require FCA personnel to click the link, complete a registration process (creating passwords etc.), then opening the e-mail.

For comment letters, we do not intend to go through this process.  It takes additional time and we would be obligated to accommodate all senders to this address in the same manner.

Also, from a computer security perspective, we are concerned about clicking on links in e-mails.

All comments sent to FCA are available for public viewing and placed on our Web site while the rulemaking is active, making a secure transmission unnecessary.

Obviously, there are very appropriate situations where secure e-mails are used and expected, and we support their use.  But not in this situation.

If you would please re-send your comment via normal e-mail to our reg-comm@fca.gov  address, we will be happy to process the letter right away.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call me.

 Thank You,

Jessica Clark
