Effective February 1, 2000, the Louisiana Federal Land Bank Association, assumed authority to make and participate in long-term real estate mortgage loans. The association will be known as Louisiana Federal land Bank Association, FLCA.
Effective January 4, 2010, pursuant to the authority under sections 5.17 and 7.7 of the Farm Credit Act of 1971, as amended (Act), FCA chartered a new production credit association that consolidated with the Louisiana Federal Land Bank Association, FLCA to form Louisiana Land Bank, ACA. The FCA also approved a subsidiary structure with the PCA known as Louisiana Production Credit, PCA, and amended the FLCA charter to make it a subsidiary of Louisiana Land Bank, ACA. The FLCA subsidiary retains the name Louisiana Federal Land Bank Association, FLCA. The equalization of loan-making power under section 7.7 of the Act authorizes the ACA and its subsidiaries to exercise full lending authorities within their chartered territory. The associations are subject to Conditions of Approval that are also effective January 4, 2010. Pursuant to FCA's Conditions of Approval, FCA will treat the ACA and its subsidiary associations on a consolidated basis for regulatory purposes as the FCA deems appropriate. |
