Subject: Confidentiality of Borrower Information
Farm Credit Administration (FCA) Regulations 12 C.F.R. §§602.215 and 618.8320 address confidentiality issues regarding releasing borrower and loan applicant data. Attached is Advisory Letter 98-11 issued by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency titled Pretext Phone Calling. This advisory letter describes one approach being used to gain access to confidential customer information and is intended to enhance your awareness regarding the confidentiality and sensitivity of customer information.
