Subject: FCA Handbook

We have been providing FCA Handbook subscribers with a paper version of the entire Handbook and all updates for more than 20 years for a minimal fee. Our goal has always been to ensure subscribers have the most current and accurate information available.

The current process, however, is very labor-intensive and no longer cost-effective. Also, new technological enhancements are now available through our Web site that can provide much quicker access to updates and other features at no cost.

Therefore, effective immediately, the FCA Handbook will be available only in electronic format for your use. A printed version of updates and the entire Handbook will no longer be provided. However, in addition to the searchable database version of the FCA Handbook now available on our Web site, we are also providing on our Web site PDF files of all sections of the FCA Handbook that you can download and print from your computer.

To make the FCA Handbook one of the most useful resource tools the Agency provides, we have added several enhancements:

Notification alerts of changes will be posted on the FCA Web site front page under Latest Updates.

An Update Notices view has been added that will be revised monthly.

Links to cross references in the text of the FCA Handbook have been added to the searchable database version.

As mentioned above, a PDF file of each FCA Handbook section is now available so that you can print your own copy.

More enhancements are planned for the future. We’ll notify you as they become available.

The FCA Handbook can be viewed via our Web site (www.fca.gov) by clicking on “Legal Information” then “FCA Handbook” or saving http://www.fca.gov/handbook.nsf to your list of favorite links. Any subscribers who have recently sent payment for a hard copy of the FCA Handbook will receive a refund from the Agency shortly.
