Subject: Impact of Federal Government Shutdown on FCA’s Operating Status


At this time a Federal budget agreement for fiscal year 2011 has not been passed. If an agreement is not reached by midnight today, the Federal Government will shut down. FCA, however, will not close.

FCA is not funded by Federal appropriations; therefore, the absence of a budget agreement will not cause the Agency to close. FCA, including its headquarters and all field offices, will remain open, and employees will continue to conduct the operations of the Agency without interruption.
