Subject: Risk Management Symposium Audiotapes


The Farm Credit Administration’s Symposium, Successful Ag Lending: Accomplishing Your Mission in Stressful Times, was held last week and by all accounts was a great success. The conference featured an impressive line-up of speakers addressing topics of specific interest to Farm Credit System institutions.

Senior government officials such as Secretary of Agriculture, Dan Glickman, Risk Management Agency Administrator, Kenneth Ackerman, and Minnesota Congressman, Colin Peterson provided useful insights on policy developments. Presentations addressing topics such as technology risk; market risk; and reaching young, beginning, small, and minority farmers will assist Farm Credit System lenders in navigating the turbulent waters of the next decade. And there were many other excellent sessions.

I have attached an audiotape order form to enable you and your staff to take advantage of the many presentations given at the symposium. They could be excellent training tools for a diverse set of topics of importance to all Farm Credit institutions.
